The group meets weekly on Fridays from 2.00pm to 3.30pm. The aim of the study is to give us confidence to speak some Spanish and to understand both written and spoken Spanish in likely settings. Enthusiastic members have created a happy relaxed atmosphere and everyone has made progress. Those who have visited Spain since the course began have found they could understand more and say more themselves than before the group met The group is at present studying the BBC course for beginners called Suenos Book 1 new edition, which members of the group need to purchase. This very attractively produced modern course aims to teach world Spanish i.e. the language and culture of South America as well as Spain.
