On most Monday afternoons, the sound of handbells and laughter can be heard coming from a small room within our town centre venue for a couple of hours. We are a group of amateur players who attempt to play a wide-ranging choice of music, for both our own pleasure, and to practise for community visits for the pleasure of other people. One of our new members let it slip that our nickname is "The Clangers". A lot of hard work and dedication is needed to attempt to get "light and shade" in musical interpretations and we are determined that we shall soon be known as "The Heavenly Harmonies" and have even more fun in the attempt. From small beginnings, this group has now doubled in size and is fully subscribed for the time being. |
