Hand bell ringing

The group meets each Monday from 2pm to 4pm.

On most Monday afternoons, the sound of handbells and laughter can be heard coming from a small room within our town centre venue for a couple of hours. We are a group of amateur players who attempt to play a wide-ranging choice of music, for both our own pleasure, and to practise for community visits for the pleasure of other people.

Our aim is to improve our playing ability by practising old material and by constantly trying to enlarge our repertoire with new tunes. In doing this we enjoy each others' company, develop greater teamwork skills, keep our minds alert and have lots of satisfaction and enjoyment.

From small beginnings, this group has now doubled in size and is fully subscribed for the time being, but can accept people on the waiting list.
